Meet Craig Roy, IEWP

Craig started his business venture, It's All About You Events, after his very special friend asked him to be a part of her very special day.  She asked him to coordinate her wedding and ensure that her day went off without a hitch. 

During the wedding, there were a few minor details that needed attending to.  For example a number of unexpected out-of-town guests showed up needing room at a hotel - which was sold out.  On the morning of the wedding, the best man discovered that he did not have his tie for his tuxedo.  With Craig overseeing the entire event  everything went smoothly: he found rooms for the out-of-town guests at the sold out hotel and came up with a tie minutes before the wedding.  Craig handled all unforeseen circumstances that could have caused the bride and groom undue stress on their special day.  When all was said and done, the day turned out to a great success! 

During this wedding, several guests approached Craig and asked for business cards. They liked what they saw and they all wanted him to plan and be a part of their special day. For Craig, though, the reaction of the bride and groom was what made it all worthwhile “Your attention to detail has made our wedding day everything we were looking for and more...” 

Since that first wedding, Craig and It’s All About You Events have been part of many weddings, bachelor & bachelorette parties, baby showers, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, tradeshows, fundraisers and corporate events. 

Craig has over 11 years of experience in the hotel management, tourism, event planning and education.  During his career he was very successful in sales and advertising/marketing.  He possesses a Degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing and Communications.  In 2002, Craig was was a recipient of the Certificate in Supervisory Management (CSM), issued by the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM). 

Continuing his education, Craig pursued a Diploma as a Paralegal in 2007.  In 2009, Craig enrolled in an event and wedding planning program, and has obtained a Diploma in Event and Wedding Planning.  Craig is a Certified Event and Wedding Planning Professional.   In 2010-2011, Craig had received Certificates in both Business Writing and HR Management.
